Surely that’s the last straw for [Member for Monash, Russell Broadbent].
Sure, I’m a young progressive, but even if I took my Green hat off for a second, promoting the use of the banned drug Ivermectin to treat COVID?!
In Parliament, as an unvaxxed 71-year-old MP. That’s unequivocally insane, dangerous and extremely irresponsible.
I must admit, I wasn’t all that surprised by the Member for Monash ignoring science; he’s spent his entire career on the backbench undermining environmental science to appease the Liberal’s fossil fuel donors.
Never mind that 95 per cent of his electorate is vaccinated; he doesn’t represent us, he never has.
Remember when his government wasted millions on the marriage equality plebiscite? Remember how a majority of us voted YES?
He ignored those stats too (one of just four MPs to vote no).
I wonder what percentage of voters would approve of Christian Porter’s mystery million dollar fund?
How many chances are voters going to give this bloke because “he’s a nice guy”. Look at his voting record; read the Hansard transcripts. I understand that some folks are allergic to the Greens out here, but for crying out loud, do not give this man yet another chance.
Mat Morgan, Foster, candidate for Monash.
