THE wait was over on Thursday as excited fans made their way into Wonthaggi Union Community Arts Centre for Elmo’s Circus Dream.
What awaited young Sesame Street fans was a magical sensation with parents, carers and guardians also delighted in an incredible array of circus acts.
All the favourites were on stage from Elmo to Cookie Monster, Grover, Bert and Ernie to Abby Cadabby.
Singing, dancing and clowning around were interwoven with spectacular circus performances including impressive acrobatic displays that left even the adults speechless, jaw dropping juggling acts and mind-bending illusions.

A roughly 50-minute show, it was perfect for the young attendees, but did leave some of the older parents wanting more.
One young member of the crowd spent most of the time with his jaw open, astonished by the colours, movement and speed. Others cheered, clapped and joined in the fun in their seats, dazzled as the magic of the circus unfolded before their eyes.
And whilst Elmo and his friends have departed Wonthaggi, there are still shows across Victoria until April 13 including Bendigo, Horsham, Norwood and Mildura.
