LONG delays can be expected on the Bass Highway less than a kilometre west of Inverloch after a single vehicle rollover at the intersection of Ullathornes Road.
Emergency services arrived on the scene around 5pm to release one occupant trapped in the upturned vehicle while a second occupant was treated on the roadside by paramedics.
Both patients were transferred to Wonthaggi Hospital.
Police are diverting traffic through Ullathornes Road until the highway is cleared.
An alternative route between Wonthaggi and Inverloch Lynnes Road via Wattlebank is not affected by the closure of the Bass Highway at Ullathornes Road.
