Meth found in vehicle search

POLICE intercepted a vehicle in Michael Place Leongatha at approximately 11.30pm on the December 23.
A subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants was conducted, where police located an amount of alleged methylamphetamine on the 46-year-old female passenger from Fish Creek.
The female was arrested and processed and the Leongatha Police Station where she was later released, charged and bailed to attend court at a later date.


Officers set to engage locals

LEONGATHA police will be out and about throughout January engaging with local retailers and the public, discussing business and personal security.
If you have any concerns, you are encouraged to approach the local Leongatha members who will be walking the streets and more than happy to hear from you.


Police appeal for assistance with theft in Bass

POLICE are appealing for dashcam and CCTV footage on Woolamai Road, Bass between December 20-24 when a chain was cut to the front gate of a rural property.
Various bobcat parts and tools were stolen.

Tools stolen from construction site

A PADDLOCK was cut to a house under construction on Malcliff Road, Newhaven between December 19 and 24.
Tools were stolen from the site including nail guns, plumbing fittings and fixtures.

Fixtures located in San Remo theft

THIEVES were not as lucky on Longfin Crescent in San Remo on December 21 at 4.30am after breaking into a house under construction and removing fixtures, in some cases forcibly.
After attending the scene, Police located the missing items hidden in a walkway between Longfin Crescent and Panorama Drive. 
The offender/s have not yet been located and police are appealing for information from the public. Attempted robbery at Anderson Interchange

AN 18-year-old male from Cowes has been interviewed by police regarding an attempted robbery and theft at Anderson Bus Interchange.
The alleged offender approached a male at the interchange making demands and threats of assault at 7.30pm on the evening of December 18.
The male was unharmed, and investigations continue.


Don’t let parcels go unattended

POLICE are urging people to take receipt of parcels and not leave them unattended after a parcel was stolen from a premise on Boardwalk Boulevard in Cowes on December 21.
Shortly after delivery a male approached the front of the house and removed the parcel.
CCTV footage is being reviewed by police.

BMX stolen from Graham Street

A FLURO yellow and green BMX bike with pink bike lock and chain was stolen from Graham Street in Wonthaggi on December 20 between 4.30pm and 5pm.
The bike was locked up in front of Santa’s Little Helper.
