Registered Nurses looking for an enjoyable work environment

ADAM Support is a small innovative organisation supporting a gentleman with complex disabilities living in South Gippsland. The organisation is about to undergo a two-day workshop to review and restructure the organisation. All staff will be involved and contribute to the forward planning and team building addressed at the workshop. 

Currently Adam Support is looking for interested Registered Nurses to join the team and it would be beneficial if those employed could be part of the upcoming workshop. The RN’s input would be very important and would really assist the organisation in the building of a forward thinking, friendly and co-operative team.

Adam Support employs both Registered Nurses and Support Workers who work together to support the gentleman to live a healthy, happy, creative and enjoyable life in his community. The staff support the client when he attends many activities, of which he enjoys swimming, horse riding, writing poetry, attending concerts, music festivals and art galleries, soacmetimes locally and sometimes in the city.

Current staff really enjoy getting to attend activities they have not had the opportunity to do before. This is a great way to try new things while supporting the client and helping him enjoy his life. Staff can enjoy a different, interesting, fulfilling role while providing wholistic care and support. There are not many, organisations working in this way.

The gentleman is supported by the NDIS and lives in his own home; most organisations support a number of clients who live in group settings. This means that they are often unable to follow their dreams and interests. It is unusual for a client with complex, high needs, to live by themselves and to be able to pursue a range of different interests, but Adam Support thrives on breaking barriers and focusing on this gentleman’s needs, interests and aspirations.
