KORUMBURRA police are appealing for any witnesses after suspected thieves attempted to steal a tractor from a rural property.
The incident occurred between 8pm and 8am on December 14-15, 2021, at a Ranceby property on Korumburra-Warragul Road.
Senior Constable Robert Burn said police were notified after a neighbour spotted the tractor moving before the unknown offender/s fled the scene.
“A person or persons has forced the (tractor) ignition and moved a couple of metres before the neighbour disturbed them,” Snr Const Burn said.
“They also stole some equipment from the tractor including tools and a 4-5 metre chain.”
Snr Const Burn said unfortunately, there was no description of the offender/s and no vehicle was seen leaving the property or area.
