FAMOUS Australian novelist Garry Disher is coming to the Inverloch library, a guest of the Friends of the Inverloch Library group, on Friday, March 25, from 6pm – 7.30pm.
A prolific writer, Disher has written more than 50 books including novels based on the Mystery and Thriller and non-fiction genres as well as a few children’s books.
He is especially well-known for the successful Inspector Challis series which has been very well received by the readers.
Born in 1949 in Burra, South Australia he was brought up on the family farm there. He completed his education at Melbourne and Adelaide universities. He has also been awarded with a fellowship in creative writing by the Stanford University.
His visit to Inverloch Library is part of Myli’s Author Talks and Book Chat series.
As well as being an author, he is an experienced mentor and creative writing teacher, touring Germany and the United States, where his crime and YA novels have appeared on best-books-of-the-year lists and won awards.
