I HAVE been reading with much disappointment about this issue and the families and people in the middle of this stuff up. In this challenging time of homelessness and struggle to get into home ownership it amazes me that authority plays with people’s lives and it really hits at the emotions.
I have signed the petition online but sadly I can only hope for a miracle to get any response from government and I commend Renee Heath for being the voice of these people in Parliament. Expecting any empathy from the Premier, however, will not be forthcoming because our politicians are so removed from the plight of ordinary people. How would they know when they sit in their comfortable homes, on the fat wages that they get and absolutely no touch with reality?
Come and live a day in the lives of these people. I love Wonthaggi and it is a shame that they should have this dark cloud hanging over their heads. I wish and pray that a solution in their interest happens soon.
