Cemetery a forgotten war zone
I RECENTLY restored my great, great, grandmother’s grave in the Wonthaggi Cemetery and had a plaque installed. Looks great. I then went for a walk to the Church of England section where my great uncle is interred. It looks just like a war zone...

I then went for a walk to the Church of England section where my great uncle is interred.
It looks just like a war zone, literally, like it’s been bombed. Collapsed graves, headstones laying on their sides, an absolute disaster zone.
Of course, I had to give up looking, as names had also disappeared.
I invite anyone to go and see for themselves.
