Concerning behaviour in Yarram

POLICE continue to investigate circumstances where a male in his 50s/60s wearing high-vis clothing approached a 12-year-old girl in Yarram yesterday, November 30 at 8.45am, as she walked to school.

It’s understood the male asked the girl to look at some puppies but made no attempt to grab the child with no vehicle involved.

The girl safely removed herself from the situation and advised teachers.

Yarram Police are urging any witnesses to contact Yarram Police Station on 5182 5033.

The event also serves as a timely reminder for parents to sit down with their children and discuss stranger danger and their safety.
