Fish Creek New Year’s Eve Cabaret returns

The Fish Creek Pub will be transformed into an entertainment zone featuring three stages for a spectacular New Year’s Eve circus and cabaret party, one of the highlights of the Fish Creek Carnival.

Attendees are encouraged to dress in fun fashion for the occasion.

Gymnast Lily Akers will show off her aerial talents on apparatus set up in the beer garden.

Indoors, the pool room will feature performances on the pool table and there will be interactive games and activities that give audience members the chance to win prizes.

Tash York is MC and will be performing improvised songs.

“It’s a full evening of entertainment,” she said, describing the variety on offer as an opportunity to “choose your own adventure”.

Hannie Helsden, Richard Sullivan, Bede Nash and Seth Scheuner are other artists putting their talents on show as aerials, juggling, handstands, acrobatics and dexterity combine with comedy.

Ticket holders will enjoy canapes and bubbles on arrival and more bubbles at midnight, plus there will be opportunities to win on the spinning wheel.

With a DJ playing tunes between acts, dancing is a must.
