Korumburra Show offers a complete day of fun and entertainment for the whole family on February 10.

THIS year’s Korumburra Show is bursting with activities that will entertain patrons from 9am until 9pm on Saturday February 10.

“Twelve months of planning goes into a show, and we’ve worked tirelessly to bring more entertainment and exhibits to show patrons,” Korumburra Agricultural & Pastoral (A&P) Society president Danial Robbins said of the organisation’s committee.

A substantial increase in the number of carnival rides and side show offerings is anticipated and there will be almost 50 market stalls.

Energetic cover band The Picassos will perform sets from 4.30pm until 8.45pm, ensuring patrons are entertained right through until the fireworks display that caps off the day.

The evening fun will also include a ‘Best Mullet’ competition at 7pm.

Traditional agricultural show favourites will feature earlier in the day, with cattle, sheep and poultry on display.

The Sanders Pavilion hosts sheep shearing.

“Then we roll over to the exhibit pavilion where the art, fresh produce, and baking display (feature),” Danial said.

Stockhorses will take to the oval for competition, as will dog events flyball, high jump and agility.

There will be a tractor display from Brandt and TTMI, as well as vintage machinery.

A Music Festival Competition, pet parade and display of cars add to the action.

Those keen to display their physical prowess will tackle the keg throwing competition, with Danial unsure what distances might be achieved but confirming the kegs will be empty.

The jam-packed kids entertainment program includes free pony rides, face painting, magic shows, whip cracking demonstrations and workshops with champion Emiliqua East, and more.

Children’s author Mandy Kuhne will be present.

Black Snake Productions is set to introduce show attendees to a variety of animals.

With Texan performer Charley Crockett holding a concert at Coal Creek on the evening of Show Day, ticket holders for his concert receive half price admission to the Korumburra Showgrounds.

Tying in with Crockett’s cowboy image, show attendees can test themselves on a mechanical bull from 4-6pm.

Admission fees:

Family (2 adults, 2 children) $25, Adult $10, Pensioner/Senior/Concession $8, 10-14 years of age $5, Under 10 years of age free.

Passouts are available.
