THE CWA Woodleigh Vale branch organised two open gardens last weekend to raise funds for the community.
CWA members Dicky Dikkenberg and Susan Hawker both opened their gardens up to visitors in Kernot and Poowong.
With over sixty people attending, it was a successful event with tea and the fare that CWA is famous for, served for morning tea.
Dickys garden in Kernot was open on the Saturday.
"Dicky has the most beautiful garden in Kernot. There's not another one like it, said current CWA President Agnes Veldhuizen.
"It's got many beautiful flowers and trees."
While Susans garden in Poowong delighted visitors on the Sunday with its unusual features.
"It has lots of beautiful statues made from old farm machinery, boots with flowers in it and little dams, just beautiful," said Agnus.
Funds raised by the CWA go towards local organizations with Milpara and Mitchell Houses and local schools benefiting in the past.
The ladies haven't decided where the money will go from the Open Gardens event but will see who is most in need.
They are also happy for more women to join them and their small team of nine members.
