LAST Saturday night, the Korumburra Secondary College Community Engagement Group held the 39th Korumburra Debutante Ball.
This year there were 17 stunning couples and they danced effortlessly to nine amazingly choreographed dances, taught by Shane and Heather from Pakenham Dance Studio.
As always, a highlight of the night is the special persons dance and it was such a magical moment to watch as the deb’s and partners collected their mother, father, or special person and danced the
Evening Three Step, such special memories to be treasured and they all did such a wonderful job.
Some 352 guests watched on as the couples showed what they had learned over the past 10 weeks of dance training, and the night and was enjoyed by all. So many smiles and laughter… it was great to see as people mingled and danced to the DJ during the intervals.
The debutantes and partners were presented to Mr Danny O’Brien MP, Ms Vaya Dauphin and the event’s flower girl and page boys, Indi Paterson, Hunter Harris and Dusty Kyle.
After two years of interruptions due to COVID, all Debutante Balls are now up to date and registration for next year’s 40th Korumburra Debutante Ball is well underway. If you would like to register, please message Sam Norrey on 0407 051 221.
