Music Festival Competition opportunity at Korumburra Show

Local talent will be highlighted during the Korumburra Show when this year’s Music Festival Competition takes place on the afternoon of Saturday February 10, with entries due by January 30.

$550 is up for grabs for the winner of the Open Section, with $200 for the runner-up and $100 for third place.

Those in the junior sections are in the running for an encouragement award in the form of a $50 voucher.

The event features an open section, as well as one for Under 12s and another for those Under 16.

“You can enter multiple sections but can’t win more than one,” competition organiser Shirley Cowling said of those young enough to enter junior sections.

Musicians across all genres are welcome, suggesting there will be a diverse offering for Korumburra Show attendees.

The Music Festival Competition runs from 12.30pm until approximately 4.30pm.
