A YOUNG South Gippsland woman is thanking a last-minute decision to grab a ticket into the weekend’s TattsLotto draw for her “life-changing” $2.1 million windfall.
The Victorian held one of the 14 division one winning entries across the country in TattsLotto draw 4281, drawn Saturday, July 30.
Each division one winning entry pocketed $2,142,857.15.
“It’s changed my life,” the winner in her 20s declared when confirming her win with an official from The Lott.
“I only ever buy a ticket every now and then. I’ve never really won anything.
“But this ticket I bought about 7pm on Saturday night at the last minute before the draw closed.
“I’m glad I did!
“Before I went to bed on Saturday, I just had a feeling I should check my ticket. And it was a winning ticket.
“I got no sleep after that.
“I’m wanting to build my own house, and now I can mortgage-free. I might be able to upgrade a few plans for the house too.
“It’s a great feeling.”
Her winning 36-game QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
