BETTER facilities are on their way for students at Powlett River Primary School with the appointment of a builder for the school’s important upgrade thanks to the state government.

State Member for Bass Jordan Crugnale recently announced Modus Projects has been appointed to deliver a much needed new and modern amenities block, that better supports accessibility and hygiene.

The government has provided $495,665 to go towards this project.

Schools have been allocated funding to fast-track priority projects under the Minor Capital Works Fund, to improve learning environments as well as the condition and character of schools.

The state government is ahead of schedule in its commitment to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026, with 75 new schools opening between 2019 and 2024.
