LEONGATHA Knights FC’s popular summer Go Fives competitions are set to return in a few weeks, and registrations are filling up fast!
With over 260 players participating in seven competitions last year, the Knights are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the pitch for small-sided soccer over the off-season.
Go Fives is a format that sees each team field one goalkeeper and four outfield players, all playing on a reduced-sized pitch with smaller goals. Teams can have up to three substitutions on the bench, with rolling substitutions allowed throughout the game.
This year, the Knights are offering competitions for U10S Mixed, U12 Mixed, U15 Mixed, Adult Mixed Social and Adult Mixed Competitive. Along with three female-only options, a U15 Girls Competition and a Women’s Competition. There will also be a “Come & Play” U12 Girls option that invites girls who are keen to have a kick to come along, no team required, just turn up and play!
Go Fives 2025 will kick off on Wednesday, October 22, and Thursday, October 23 and run for eight weeks. Team registrations are capped, so ensure you register your team ASAP.
