WELL, it’s all over for another year at the 2023 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition, staged as part of the Royal Easter Show in Sydney on Thursday, April 6 and a young auctioneer from Gundagai in NSW has emerged as the National Champion.
Leongatha’s Jack Ginnane, the Victorian champion from Nutrien Ag Solutions, was up against eight of the best young auctioneers from across Australia including Pierce Watling from Elders Bunbury in WA, Harrison Cozens from Elders Albury-Wodonga, and Jake Robinson from Nutrien Ag in Dalby Qld.
But the 2023 ALPA National Young Auctioneers Competition winner was Harry Waters, of Elders Rural Services, Gundagai, in a very close, extremely high-standard competition where all young auctioneers demonstrated their fully professional, commercial stock selling skills. Runner-up was Justin Rohde, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Emerald, Qld.
