Weekend Pennant Grand final 

THE Strzelecki Bowls Region grand final for the south side was played on Saturday at Wonthaggi.  

As weather conditions were not favourable, the game was brought forward to an 11am start to try to beat the heat.

The bowlers were very lucky to get the games completed.

Wonthaggi did a great job running the event with plenty of marquees scattered around the venue, which offered spectators plenty of shade. 

The games were very close with the lead changing many times throughout the day. 

The eventual winners were:

Division 1: Phillip Island 60 Mirboo North 58

Division 2: Phillip Island 62 Fish Creek 54

Midweek Pennant Grand final 

STREZELECKI Bowling Clubs midweek pennant Grand Final at Leongatha was played in much cooler conditions on Tuesday March 12.  Leongatha welcomed all three divisions with some lovely homemade scones.
