GIPPSLAND League chair Brett Tessari has stepped down from his role to become the Operations Manager (OM) of the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition (WGFNC).
Tessari spoke exclusively to the Sentinel-Times last week about the latest venture and his feelings towards the new role.
“It’s going to be a massive challenge for me, I have an idea of what needs to be done but normally I’ve always been in the role where if something needs to be done, I make a phone call and someone does it,” he said.
“To be the one that people are going to ring and expect something done is going to be completely new for me so it’s going to be interesting.
“I can’t wait.”
Tessari’s taking on the huge role of operations manager meant he had to say goodbye to the Gippsland League.
“Obviously I couldn’t stay on my role at the Gippsland League, so I stood down,” he said.
The new OM was also confident in where the WGFNC is at and the direction its clubs are heading.
“I’m really looking forward to it, I think they’re in a great position,” he said.
Tessari will begin his new role next week in an exciting time for the WGFNC, more to come.
