Umpires recognised for successful year
The Golden Whistle went to Patrick Wilson at South Gippsland Umpires Association’s presentation night.

AWARDS were handed out at the recent South Gippsland Umpires Association presentation night.

It was a fantastic night to come together, recognise and celebrate all the achievements of the talented group throughout the 2023 season.

The association congratulates all the 2023 award winners.

A notable presentation went to Kane Pepperell, who received South Gippsland Umpires Association’s life membership for his service to the association.

His 17 years of service include eight years on the committee, while on-field he has umpired over 400-games as a field, boundary and goal umpire. He is a very worthy recipient.

Thank you to all the coaches, committee, executive as well as all the members who helped behind the scenes for all their hard work that went into putting together another magnificent season for the panel.

Thank you also to Brett Tessari and Bobbie-Lee Blay from the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition for attending the presentation night, and for all their support of the association in 2023.
