COVID-19 is certainly on the retreat, with the number of notified cases in Victoria falling daily last week, typically by 739 active cases to 5855 last Friday.
But there were still 33 deaths associated with COVID notified last Friday, October 21, so we still need to be taking precautions.
Gippsland Region Public Health Unit (GRPHU) is still encouraging the use of masks in crowded places indoors and on public transport; vaccination, separation (1.5 metres), ventilation (open windows, eat outdoors) and sanitize (wash hands with soap or use sanitize.
GRPHU has also advised it has been funded to provide its Chitty Chitty Jab Jab vaccination bus to Gippsland regional areas, through the remainder of October, November and into December.

- Wonthaggi: Friday, October 28, (10am-3pm), Friday, November 11, Monday, November 21 (10am-2pm) and Wednesday, November 30 (10am-2pm) Wonthaggi Town Hall.
- Mirboo North: Wednesday, November 16 (9.30am-3pm) Baromi Park.
- Yarram: Thursday, November 17 (9.30am-3pm) Memorial Park.
