Wild weather causes power outages

Thousands of homes are currently experiencing power outages across the Bass Coast and South Gippsland due to wild stormy weather causing trees to fall and small fires to break out.

The majority of power outages were reported from 3:30pm – 4:30 pm this afternoon and according to the AusNet's Outage Tracker, the estimated time AusNet can be onsite is between 8pm and 8:30pm tonight, with no indication yet as to what time power will be back on.
