THE Wonthaggi Clay Target Club’s Pre-State Title Warm-Up Competition on Saturday, October 29 had a fantastic turn out with nine Squads and total of 47 Shooters from Frankston, Nepean, Woods Point, Melbourne, Mornington, Korumburra, Bairnsdale and Werribee.
Thankfully the rain held off but in typical Wonthaggi fashion, it was windy.
Overall winner was taken by Darrel Williams after a shoot off with 183/200.
AA Grade: 1st - Gavin Boyd 181/200.
A Grade : 1st - John Rowe 175/200.
B Grade: 1st - Jen Crabbe 136/165.
C Grade: 1st - Kevin Taylor after a shoot off 145/200.
Junior: 1st - Logan White 112/165.
Ladies: 1st - Liz Schroeter 131/165.
Veterans: 1st - David Kent 140/165.
Stuart Allen and Mel Chapman sponsored a new D Grade to encourage new shooters to the sport.
D Grade: 1st - Cindy Hyde 106/150.
Cake Shoot Winners were Alister Gammaldi and Stuart Allen.
We have to also say a huge thank you to Walter Furlan and Steven Fox for donating their ammunition as prizes for the D Grade winners.
Frank Bagnato, Jen Crabbe and Shayne Whelan also donated their ammunition to our Junior winner Logan White and thank you Glengarry Gun Shop D/L 902 852 60F for your continued support.
Wonthaggi Clay Target Club also made the decision to donate takings from our raffle to Melbourne Gun Club raising $407.
