WONTHAGGI Road Runners and friends set themselves the challenge of collectively running and walking more than 1,300 kilometres over 19 days, competing in the Run Against Violence over a virtual route from Broken Hill to Luna Park Sydney.

“Throughout our journey we are fundraising and most importantly creating conversations and raising awareness as we take steps for change,” team member Christine Slavin said.

The team of 20 set itself the goal of raising $500 as it runs alongside 100 other teams.

Funds raised are invested into Respectful Relationships Education in schools through a partnership with the National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.
