NATURES Beauty Spa Salon and Poowong Hair and Beauty are nestled in amongst the hills of Poowong, where the two studios are designed as a haven for country locals or out of towners.

The studios of hairdresser, Coreen Mechielsen and Beauty Therapist, Annie Bennett are situated in Poowong’s township, located adjacent to the old general store.

Coreen opened the doors to her clients in 2019, where she offers over 14 years’ experience in the hairdressing industry, specialising in cuts, colours, blow waves and wedding styles.

Retailing the Davroe and NAK range instore, Coreen recommends the two brands for home treatments in between salon appointments.

“These products are natural, vegan and Australian made and owned, I use a wide range of NAK colours on my clients to nourish and protect dry and damaged hair,” said Coreen.

Whether it be transforming a bold colour, sculpting a male back and sides or tending to a child’s first hair-cut, Coreen welcomes clients by appointment as well as offering senior’s discounts on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

“I started my own business to bring a hairdresser closer for the locals and with a regular cliental it’s been wonderful to share the space with Annie next door.” Coreen said.

Annie offers a place of calm to her clients, giving them time to slow down and unwind whilst practicing self-care, offering facials, massage, manicure and pedicures, waxing and spray tans.

“I first introduced myself to the beauty industry over 25 years ago and it’s been a pleasure working in this small community, introducing locals to my treatments and educating them on how to help heal their skin with natural products,” said Annie.

At Natures Beauty Spa Salon, each client can indulge in a full day of treatments with a group of friends, book in an express spray tan or enjoy a deluxe oxygen facial. In-store Annie too retails a vast array of beauty products including Keone, minetan and Herome.

“Our salon also offers a make-your-own gift pamper pack, these beauty packs can be made to order or individually selected instore,” said Annie.
“Together Coreen and I are beautifying Poowong and delivering self-care services to each client in a safe and healthy environment,” said Annie.
