IT’S on again, and back to its best: Farm World 2022 at Lardner Park Warragul is set to reclaim its place as one of Australia’s most important country farming exhibitions.
And each of the four days, from Thursday, March 24 to Sunday, March 27, has adopted a unique theme.
• Day 1 - Thursday, March 24: Farming Community and Schools Day.
• Day 2 - Friday, March 25: Ag Farming and Demonstration Day.
• Day 3 - Saturday, March 26: Twilight Trading and Farm World Rodeo.
• Day 4 - Sunday, March 27: Market Day.
Note: Due to COVID contact tracing requirements, all tickets must be purchased online at lardnerpark.com.au/farmworld/tickets.
For more than half a century, this premier regional agricultural show has been providing patrons the opportunity to get up close and talk with experts in the field and learn all there is to know about farm machinery - with live demonstrations throughout the event, farm animals at the livestock pavilions and the ability to purchase some great products direct from the makers and suppliers across the site.
While the event is a must for the farming community, it’s also a great occasion for locals and urbanites with a passion for the great outdoors.
Lardner Park CEO Craig Debnam is delighted with the response to this year’s event.
“Exhibitor numbers are back up at 90 per cent of our biggest event, which is great, but of course some businesses simply didn’t survive COVID,” said Mr Debnam.
“The idea of the theme days is to drive visitor numbers by giving the community a strong lead about what to expect.
“Day One is opening day for the farming community and schools; Day Two is our main farming day with demonstrations by all of the big machinery dealers and suppliers every hour and Saturday has a focus on twilight trading and the rodeo, and we’ve organised a great deal for entry to both Farm World and the rodeo.
“Sunday is market day - the day to really close a deal with the exhibitors who don’t want to be taking all their gear home.”
With up to 100 acres of exhibitor displays, both indoors and out, you’ll find equipment, farm machinery, clothing, sheds, outdoor living including boats, caravans, horse floats, and vehicles, technology, plants, plus masses of must-have tools.
And it wouldn’t be Farm World without a huge variety of animals including the cattle breeders in ‘Cattle Corner’, kelpie dogs rounding up sheep, alpacas and more.
Returning in 2022 will be the Telstra Women in Ag lunch, a signature event and highlight for many.
In conjunction with the Royal Melbourne Show, Farm World will host the Victorian Young Farmer Challenge where contestants will battle it out for the ultimate farmer crown.
The Freestyle Kings Motocross team will thrill everyone with their daredevil skills from Friday to Sunday, whilst on Saturday night the Farm World rodeo will be staged after exhibitor trading closes.
