Bass Coast women sharing inspiring stories
WONTHAGGI Neighbourhood Centre marked International Women’s Day and its theme this year, ‘Breaking the Bias’, with the re-launch of ‘Women’s Stories’ – the monthly event which, like so many others, had been forced into abeyance last year due to COVID.
WONTHAGGI Neighbourhood Centre marked International Women’s Day and its theme this year, ‘Breaking the Bias’, with the re-launch of ‘Women’s Stories’ – the monthly event which, like so many others, had been forced into abeyance last year due to COVID.
More than 30 women attended Mitchell House on Tuesday, March 8, to celebrate IWD and enjoy guest speaker Terry Guilford.
Terry shared key aspects of her life journey in keeping with her personal mantra: ‘It’s never too late’.
A former psychologist, Terry changed career direction at age 59 to retrain and become a skilled fitness trainer and personal coach.
Now aged 70, Terry is also a published author and artist.
And she’s the happiest and healthiest she’s ever been!
Sharing personal anecdotes and learnt wisdoms, Terry’s presentation was inspiring, entertaining and enjoyed by all.
Women’s Stories is a gathering held on the second Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm and offers local women the opportunity to meet, share time together and hear the life journeys, experiences and wisdom of other women.
