THE Lineham family have welcomed a fifth generation to their family following the safe arrival of Xavier Heylen.
Xavier’s grandfather, Craig Lineham, said they were proud to have five generations of family alive and sharing unforgettable moments together.
Xavier Heylen was born on December 22, 2021, at Warragul Hospital, first son for his father, 26-year-old Dylan Heylen, and mother 24-year-old Jessica Lineham.
“Dylan is part of the Heylens that pioneered Nyora; Dylan and Jessica continue to reside in their hometown,” Craig said.
“I am part of the Linehams that pioneered Yanathan and Catani and I am 51-year-old grandpa to our newest addition Xavier. My mum, Xavier’s great grandmother, grew up in Iona and her name is Marlane Lineham (née Pitt) and is 74 years old.”
The Pitts were pioneer market gardeners in Vervale and Iona. Her mother, Xavier’s great great grandmother is Norma Allen (née Wright), who was born in Trafalgar in 1922 and is now 99 years old, turning 100 in August this year.
“Norma currently resides in a nursing home in Pakenham, and she and Xavier spend quality time together,” Craig said.
“We find it quite amazing that a great great grandmother and child can interact and form a loving bond.”
Norma still has lots of life to live and plenty of time to further strengthen the connection with Xavier.
Baby Xavier is Nyora royalty, with his grandfather Jack Heylen playing 400 senior football games with the local football club and his dad Dylan the current seniors captain and four-time club best and fairest.
“Both wore number 6 for the club and the number will be retired for Xavier, should he follow in the football footsteps,” Craig said.
