Future of jazz to perform on Phillip Island

PHILLIP Island Jazz will be welcoming ‘Jazz Running Wild’ on March 20.

They are a project group of the Australian Jazz Museum for under 25s.

They are a skilled bunch of young musicians and the future of jazz belongs to them.

Jazz Running Wild will excite you as they perform a great selection of traditional and modern jazz standards.

Musical director Graeme Pender indicates they are in good form following appearances at the Australian Jazz Convention in Albury last December, followed more recently by a performance at Ringwood Lake with many people dancing to their music.

Remember the new venue: Phillip Island Bowling Club, 40 Dunsmore Road, Cowes.

“This is a great opportunity to not only encourage future jazz musicians but to indicate to Phillip Island Bowling Club that we are a group of music lovers who continue to be able to pursue that love at the great facilities of the club,” a spokeswoman for Phillip Island Jazz said.

For more information, please contact Robin on 0432 814 407 or Jill on 0417 416 300.

Show commences at 2pm, so let’s see big numbers in attendance to encourage support the star musicians of the future.
