Everything you needed to know about Inverloch

THERE has been an enormously positive response to the Inverloch Community House Community Expo that is taking place on Friday, March 18, between 4pm and 7pm.

More than 40 groups and organisations have secured a place, excited at the opportunity of engaging with the residents of Inverloch on the day.

The original concept of introducing new residents to the range of groups and activities in the community has now expanded.

Through word-of-mouth, local government agencies and service providers have come on board, valuing the opportunity to have a presence and provide information to residents on the day.

This has now become a whole of Inverloch event, with a chance for residents to not only engage with local organisations but to become informed and up to date on the latest local issues.

Some of the groups attending include:

* Wonthaggi Seed Bank, with an aim to inform people about environmental weeds and local plants.

* Teams from Bass Coast Shire Council and Cosy Homes, with all you need to know about energy efficiency in your home.

* 3mFm and Bendigo Bank, who will talk to community groups about grants, fundraising and promotion.

* There will also be sporting and service clubs, history and environmental groups, emergency services groups and something for kids and adults.

There is also a free barbecue!

Inverloch Community House greatly appreciates the support by local businesses, including Alex Scott Real Estate in Inverloch for the impressive roadside signage and Invy Kababs’ generosity with the use of land.

Rotary, Lions, Warrawee and the Men’s Shed of Inverloch have also been of invaluable support to the event, along with Bass Coast Shire Council’s provision of funding and support to the event organisers.

Inverloch Community House is looking forward to a great day of enthusiastic and proud community together as one.
