THE third round of the Woolworths State Junior Surfing Titles was held last weekend at Jan Juc with epic 2-3ft offshore lines.
Jarrah Cicero and his brother, Rye, both of Sandy Point, obtained enough points in the final round to secure their position on the State Surfing Team (U16) which will represent Victoria at the Australian Junior Surfing Titles November 26 – December 3 at North Stradbroke Island in Queensland.
“I feel so happy to win the state championship as there are some really great surfers in my division,” Jarrah said.
“I’m really excited because it means I will be going to nationals with the Victorian team and my brother.”
Jarrah and Rye both missed the opportunity to represent Victoria, as part of the state team, at the Nationals last year due to the Queensland border closures.
“It will be great to be there with Australia’s best Junior surfers.”
