A SMALL council related meeting planned for last Thursday at the Leongatha RSL at short notice morphed into a large (estimated 200 people) crowd concerned about South Gippsland Shire Council’s proposed Local Laws. Numerous people from across our shire spoke of their concerns about the local laws and the council in general.
Due to the capacity of the venue being exceeded many people had to remain outside and some left. For this reason, the many issues raised and to accommodate more people in our community a follow-up meeting has been arranged for a larger venue for this Wednesday, November 8. The South Gippsland Action Group will chair the meeting to be held at 56 Bair Street, Leongatha to start at 1pm. All are welcome.
