HUGE crowds turned out for Inverloch’s Anzac Day service, with the highlight being the increasing number of young people in attendance.
Inverloch RSL president Ross Gabb expressed his delight that the importance of the day continues to be passed on to the next generation.
The service started off with the popular ‘Veterans March’ which included local Scouts.
Guest speakers were Newhaven College Year 12 students Ebony and Charley Donohue, who spoke of why Anzac Day has become so important to them and how the World Wars impacted their family.
Incredibly, Flanders Fields was recited by Pauline Priestly, who is 99-years young!
She is former member of the Australian Women’s Army Service and served during World War Two.
The crowd listened intently throughout the proceedings and were treated to a fly over by the RAAF.
