THE Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club rescue team is warmed up and ready to patrol the summer holiday season.

They will be patrolling the Inverloch Surf Beach daily from December 26 until the end of January, and on weekends until April. Volunteers Xavier Korbel, Nelson Karutz, Olivia Cumming, and James Harman together with their fellow patrollers work diligently throughout summer to protect the public and keep everyone safe over the holidays and it’s important to remember to swim between the flags and keep hydrated in the warmer weather.

Whilst the beach is patrolled, the new kiosk @ invy will be open for business, located at the Inverloch Surf Life Saving Club and managed by Bruce Facey and Chris Kabay – owners of Red Brick Café in Surrey Hills.

“We’re so thrilled to be open at the beach this summer, we’ll be supplying hot barista made coffee and our menu selection will rotate – providing freshly made breakfasts and lunches, as well as special afternoon treats from 7am until 3pm daily,” said Bruce.

Upstairs the deck bar will be open every day from December 26 until January 29 – the perfect stop-off on a summer holiday to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine with uninterrupted views over Inverloch surf beach. Ione McKenzie of Inverloch SLSC said the deck bar is open to the public and everyone is welcome to bring their own cheese platters to accompany the beer and wine selection, that is readily available at the deck bar. “We will also have local caterers Lime & Co serving fresh delicious Mexican food over summer.”

The Nippers’ seasonal program will run on the beach from December 27 until January 7, and those aged 13 years and over are welcome to join the ISLSC rescue team for the 2022/2023 season.
