Dressed as a pixie in the build up to Christmas, Ashlee will be sorely missed by the Bassine family.

ASHLEE Aplin bids adieu to the role she started as a young 14-year-old at Bassine Specialty Cheese Café.

“We will miss her,” owner, Kaye explained.

“There will be many tears.”

Starting in 2016, as an enthusiastic and eager-eyed 14-year-old working weekends and school holidays, Ashlee continued in a casual position until completion of her Year 12 studies at Newhaven College in 2019.

Opting to take a gap year from future studies, Ashlee jumped in full time, and whilst COVID may have added two years to her ‘gap year’ Ashlee has decided to head west and fulfill her potential in engineering at SA University.

“Ash is Senior Shop Assistant, Barista, master of the baked cheesecake, responsible for junior staff on shift, trainer and an important member of the Bassine family.”

“On a personal level we will miss her. On a business level there will be mighty big shoes to fill.”

“We will need two experienced hospitality professionals as we expand our trading hours moving towards springtime and looming school holidays.”

Those interested in filling Ashlee’s shoes should call Kaye on 9988 2820 or email cheeseplease@bassinespecialtycheeses.com.au
