Immy Bradford finds some space.

WHILE it was cold, the predicted rain held off making for reasonable conditions for the Breakers first twilight match at home.

With eight players out from the week before, the Breakers team looked a bit different - with a mix of new and past players filling the gaps.

However, it didn’t show with the Breakers picking up where they left off the previous week.

From the start the Breakers were dominant at the centre bounces, with Tess Angarane in the ruck feeding Sophie Bolding who was able to break away from the clearances with pace.

A great tackle from Montanna Campbell set up the first goal.

In the second quarter Tayla Tatterson moved forward and had an instant impact with her contested marking and run and carry creating plenty of movement - along with a mark of the year attempt.

The Breakers continued to work on their versatility with Jac Van Rooy also moving forward and quickly scoring her first goal.

The Breakers continued their dominance in the middle with Ahlee Penry driving the first two centre clearances forward.

Jess Bolding took advantage of the large ground creating great space and run off the wing.

With Seaford short on numbers, the Breakers leant some players to the opposition - with Rach Cameron a clear standout for Seaford.

The Breakers kept up their intensity in the last quarter.

After a solid performance Siena Lane was reward for her attack on the ball with a late goal and Immy Bradford also hit the scoreboard taking her total to 4 for the match.

Final score: Breakers 15.13-103 def Seaford 0.0-0

This week the Breakers host Pearcedale on Friday night under lights (7pm) for their annual Pride match. After the success of last year’s inaugural event, this year is set to be bigger and better.
