Cry with laughter this Thursday

“I CAN’T wait to get to Wonthaggi,” comedian, Evan Hocking said.

“I love getting out to regional places because a lot of the blokes remind me of my dad. He’s an old school guy who can’t throw anything away, he’s got 3 lawnmowers.

“Apparently, he’s starting his own Jim’s Mowing Franchise. Mum and Dad will never get divorced because dad can’t get rid of anything.”

The "Gotta Laugh Comedy Show" is back after a sell-out show in 2022 on Thursday February 16 at The Caledonian Hotel in Wonthaggi.

The show will be headlined by legendary Australian comedian Anthony "Lehmo" Lehmann who will be joined by host Evan and support from Billy Stiles.

Lehmo has been performing comedy for over 20 years and has toured Australia and Worldwide to sell out shows.

He has appeared on numerous TV shows including hosting the Footy Show, Utopia on ABC, Fox Sports "The Beep Test" and has popped up on The Project, Hughesy – We Have a Problem and Have You Been Paying Attention?, to name but a few. He is a regular at local private functions and on the corporate comedy circuit. He also briefly held the world record for jokes in one hour, 549!

“I have a six-year-old, two dogs and two cats in our house, so it’s nice to get in the car and go for a drive sometimes – that’s part of my motivation (coming to Wonthaggi)!” Lehmo laughed.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun, a lot of jokes, a lot of laughs and everyone who comes is going to have a great time, and everyone who doesn’t come is going to regret it when they hear how good the night is.

“What else are you going to do on a Thursday night – come down to The Cally and have a couple of laughs. Particularly after the few years that we’ve had… Whatever you’re missing on television you can record these days.”

Joining Lehmo will be popular Melbourne comedians Evan Hocking and Billy Stiles, both very sought after on the comedy circuit performing most nights at some of Melbourne's most popular venues and regularly touring Australia to sell-out crowds.
