SO it’s official, we’re in an El Nino – hotter, drier, bushfires. We must all prepare.

At the same time Australian governments are continuing to subsidise and permit new and expanded coal and gas mines. Burning fossil fuels adds to the climate crisis.

We the people and our wildlife are the collateral damage of their reckless policies. We are conditioned to endure bushfires and other extreme events – at what cost – while mining companies and their shareholders line their pockets.

It is no exaggeration to say our blue/green planet is at a tipping point.

With political will and true leadership, a rapid transition to a low emissions future is possible and an opportunity to be embraced.
