Foster RSL Sub-Branch is amongst this year's successful Victorian Remembers Grant recipients with monies going towards their Vietnam War Education Program. The RSL has, over many years now, placed flags on the graves of men and women who served, and now rest in Foster, Welshpool and Toora cemeteries for each ANZAC Day.

MINISTER for Veterans Natalie Suleyman today announced the recipients of this year’s Anzac Day Proceeds Fund and Victoria Remembers programs – providing more than $1.5 million in funding to deliver vital support to veterans and their families across the state.

More than $410,000 provided through the Victoria Remembers Grant Program will fund 27 projects with grants of up to $30,000 to support commemorative events, new memorials and education projects.

Amongst this year’s recipients is Foster RSL Sub-Branch who will receive $1785 for their Vietnam War Education Program.

Separately, the Anzac Day Proceeds Fund will deliver more than $1.1 million to support 20 organisations delivering welfare and wellbeing initiatives for veterans, with grants of up to $150,000 for statewide programs and up to $50,000 for local projects.

Among this year’s recipients are Guitars for Vets who have received $19,950 for the self music therapy program and Carry On, who support vulnerable Victorian veterans and their families with $100,000.
