LEONGATHA Lyrebirds’ Emma Murphy celebrated achieving her Junior PB award on the last night of Guides last term.
This award is the top award for girls in the Junior Guide group, the Leongatha Lyrebirds.
Also celebrating were Eloise Polglase and Ella Thompson who gained their bronze endeavour awards, showing that they are at least halfway through their junior BP.
To gain the junior BP award girls have to complete two challenges in each of the following sections: Promise and Law, Service, World Guiding, Guiding Traditions, outdoors and Patrols.
This is something the girls work on over several years and it shows not only skill and determination, but it also requires persistence to get it finished.
The Leongatha Lyrebirds are for girls from 6 to 10 years of age and we are looking for new girls to join our unit.
We have lots of fun with games, activities, camps etc.
