A TWO-STOREY home at Smiths Beach was engulfed in flames shortly after lunch today.
Local CFA crews arrived on scene after the alert was raised by neighbours around 12.53pm.
Five units from Phillip Island, San Remo, Kilcunda and Wonthaggi attended with the house fully engulfed by the time firefighters arrived.

The fire is still under investigation, however, it's believed the fire started in the kitchen when power returned to an appliance after the power outage.
It's understood the residents were not home at the time and had left the property when the power went out with neighbours hearing the alarm when the power came back on.
Cowes police attended the scene with nil interruptions to traffic and no injuries, whilst firefighters donned breathing apparatus. The fire was brought under control at 1.50pm and deemed safe by 2.10pm.
