Liz says thanks for Inverloch's big lunch

I had a ‘Big Lunch’ at the Inverloch Bowling Club (no charge) on June 15, to raise money for the new Ultrasound Machine at Wonthaggi Hospital and raised $3100. 

I would like to give thanks to the generous shopkeepers in Inverloch and Wonthaggi for their donations, and to everyone who came to my lunch. 

Tim at Mitre 10 for the beautiful blue three piece outdoor setting, $25 voucher from The Esplanade Hotel, two bottles of very nice wine from South East Real Estate, $30 voucher from Trudy and Adrian at Paperplay Newsagents, $30 voucher from Grant at The Muffin Break, a wall hanging from Janine at Sweet Treats, four special mugs from The Discount Shop in Wonthaggi,

$50 from Russell at the Inverloch Post Office, three platters of yummy slices from Nicole and Ebony at The Bayside Lady, lots of bread from Robyn and Paul at Paul the Pieman Bakery, 50 bread rolls from Lucy at Paradise Bakery, four gifts from Liz at Bliss in Inverloch, tea, coffee, sugar and milk – value of $35 from Tracey at Foodworks, two yummy platters of sandwiches from Lenore at Reggie’s in Wonthaggi, three varieties of soup - carrot and pumpkin, scotch broth and sweet potato and pumpkin, made by my husband John of 54-years, and leek and potato soup made by our friends, Kaye and Peter. 

I was speechless by the generosity shown to me. 

This was my 14th ‘Big Morning Tea/Big Lunch’ here in Inverloch and previously in Blackburn, and my highest fundraiser so far. 

Thanks to all who helped me on the day. A very positive day.
