Make a difference while enjoying the serenity

ADAM Support is seeking dedicated and passionate registered nurses and support workers who are looking for a sea change in the beautiful town of Venus Bay.

Adam Support is an organisation caring for a gentleman with complex disabilities, to live an active and fulfilling life in his own home and community. 

The organisation is looking for a number of registered nurses to work with him and his team of support workers. 

He requires a registered nurse and support worker for each of three shifts per day, seven days per week.

This is a very rewarding role making an enormous difference in the gentleman’s life. 

The role is interesting, challenging and different but far less stressful than in a hospital or nursing home. 

It is a role that involves caring for the whole person, not just one specific health problem.

“It will be a registered nurse and support worker who will be working with him all the time,” Adam Support’s Les Cope said. 

“He’s complex in that he has epilepsy; he is nonverbal and has some issues with his cognitive skills.

“However, he’s also a published poet and writer.

“He’s published three poetry books and he loves the arts.

“But all these things he needs support for.”

Les highlighted that the role is very attractive in that the client lives in his own home at Venus Bay, and staff get to participate in the various activities he enjoys. 

The organisation is also looking for more support workers.
