More doctors needed in Wonthaggi

THIS is a call out to patients of South Gippsland Family Medicine (Wonthaggi).

This surgery has had one GP trying to hold the place together for most of this year.

It used to have 5 to 6 GPs but now only one and he is fantastic.

The nurses at this clinic are great and the receptionist is really helpful.

Wonthaggi and surrounding areas have grown so much and we have got to this crisis situation.

The GP a couple of weeks ago was so sick that he was still doing phone consultations from his home and sounded terrible.

I have decided that I am not going to sit back and complain, I am going to try and do something about it.

We need more GPs in Wonthaggi and especially at this clinic, or it will close which will put more pressure on the other clinic.

I have sent a few emails out to different areas and hope that some more patients will do the same. Emailing, writing letters, phone calls; it will all help.
