Neerim outclasses Poowong

POOWONG travelled to Neerim South to take on the undefeated leaders in good conditions.

Neerim South came out hard and Poowong struggled to get moving after the week off and Neerim opened up a 28-point lead a quarter time.

The second quarter was a lot tighter with Neerim South scoring 2.5 to Poowong 2.3 as both defences worked hard.

The third quarter is the premiership quarter and Neerim were not going to give Poowong an opportunity to get back into the game. 

The last quarter was another tight quarter of football but Poowong, despite their efforts, could not hit the scoreboard with Neerim winning by 57-points, a deserving victory on the day. Poowong will need to start better next time and be a lot cleaner and avoid the turn overs to win. 

Considering they were coming off the Bye, they did not allow Neerim South to runaway with the game. 

Next week a big game at home against Lang Lang, who are trying to sneak into the five, the Poowong boys will have to get off the mark early as a defeat will really put the pressure on against Nyora the following week.
