Paddle boarder death near Summerlands

EMERGENCY services were called to Shelly Beach near Summerlands on Phillip Island about 3.20pm on November 8.

Officers have been told surfers noticed a paddle boarder clinging to his board and drifting in the water.

They went to check on the man who was not responsive and brought him back to shore.

They commenced CPR and emergency services were called.

Ambulance crews arrived but could not revive the man.

Police are preparing a report for the Coroner.
