Parking and all that jazz

BETWEEN August 2-4 is the jazz festival in Inverloch. With parking being so limited especially when more people come into town to get within walking distance of venues, I hope the Council will not be a killjoy by making a special effort to come down and book people that are illegally parked making their job of collecting revenue easy.

If they got out of their offices on any normal day and truly made the effort for safety, there are heaps of opportunities to book people with too many cars to fit into their minimal driveways and park unsafely.

Cut the community some slack because it is very rare (to have these events) and we want to be supportive of organisers and surely, we expect the same thing from Council or don’t organise events like these regionally.

I also hope that those that can walk to venues because they stay close enough will do so to allow those that need to take cars, because they are taking along someone that is not able to drive, the opportunity to park.
