WHAT kind of people do we now have in our Shire of South Gippsland councillors and staff to think up such a stupid lot of proposed laws that can only be seen online.

Many of us do not sit on our bums of keyboards, we work, and objections was to be in by November 2.

One councillor Cr Scott Rae is the only one it seems to have a brain.

A busker is to have a permit, I wonder how much that will cost them. These people brighten up our streets. If they don’t block a street, leave them alone.

Shipping containers don’t blow away, are tidy.

All animal feed must be stored from vermin mice and fly proof. How many houses can claim to be mouse and fly proof.

Farmers are not to clear roadsides, even of noxious weeds. Overgrown roadsides invite native animals. That is why so many are killed on our roads, by traffic.

Go and look how fires spread along the roadsides at Nar Nar Goon and Tynong North, our neighbour district. Most fires start by cigarettes out of car windows and barbeques and campfires left by the townies enjoying our country.

There are many disused buildings and houses that would cost a fortune to demolish, council fees, permits, only licensed people are allowed to demolish that have many very expensive conditions to abide by, so have to pass on the costs.

Bracken fern, the scourge of Gippsland farmland is a protected native. It would be a blessing if councils, etc. got busy on neglected land. Small acreage is a main source, many don’t know a noxious weed, and many don’t care, but the farmer’s bull next door must not bellow or poop, farmers dogs must not bark when bringing the cows home to milk.

Our roads have no sides to them, where do you park with a flat or breakdown now.
